Good news Vanguard fans, the Trident Realm warband is now available to order from the Mantic website and your friendly local game store. By now you should be up to speed with the faction itself and the new units, so today we’re showcasing all the new releases.
The easiest way to pick up all the Trident Realm releases is with the web-only Trident Realm Bundle. You get all the new releases (at a discount), along with a Naiad Envoy – one of the new units introduced in the full warband release.
The kingdoms of the Trident Realm are proud and territorial, and can commit to violence with little provocation. The lord of any land-bound territory would be wise to treat their inlets and coasts cautiously, lest they stir the fierce Neriticans who claim them as their own. When the Trident Realm stirs the very seas boil –storms rage, waves crash upon coastlines and the tides rise only to retreat, revealing the Neritican host, water cascading off shells and armour, and ready for war.
When the rivers under the protection of the Trident Realm are encroached upon by humans, dwarfs, or elves, the Riverguard deploy their heavy cavalry. These giant amphibians are tremendously strong; able to leap over dam walls and lay waste to these constructions and their defenders with ease.
Don’t forget the Riverguard Dambuster pack comes with a card to use a command option (the Dambuster Sentinel) too.
Fishmen warriors covered in tough, natural, scale mail, Placoderm Defenders are stoic champions, able to hold back whole bodies of troops single-handedly.
Riverguard Sentinels are given responsibility for whole river basins or lake systems. It is their duty to relay all news to their Neritican superiors and they are regularly visited by the royal envoys of the Trident Realm in order to make their report.
The Riverguard are the ever watchful amphibian sentinels for the Trident Realm. Their ability to leap beyond enemy lines and cause panic with their poisonous attacks is much prized by their Neritican commanders.
Naiads are closely attuned to the sea and this connection runs both ways. When the anger of the Neriticans is roused, the anger of the waves manifests as violent Elementals. These beings can be summoned and controlled by Thuul Mythicans, but still pose a risk to all.
The deadly pincer-like claws of these huge crustaceans can crush and slice through even the thickest plate armour while their own natural protection makes them a fearsome foe.
