Just ” finished ” the wizard / apprentice….. his right is modular and his head is modular and the staf held in his left hand will have different tips that can be fixed to the staff. He will have 3 different right hand options, two different spell effect hands and one axe hand. He will have maybe three different head options. one young smooth faced, one middle aged bearded, and one bald mustached head. Now to make the OTHER more wizardly wizard.

Ok as of right now I have finished:
2 hirdmen with weapon and shield and hide armor
2 hirdmen with weapon and shield in gambeson
1 Huscarl with long weapon and chain armor

In the works;
1 huscarl with weapon and shield and chain armor
1 hirdman with long weapon and gambeson
1 hirdman with long weapon and hide armor
1 wizard with MAYBE modula rhead right and left hand options
1 wizard apprentice with modular head right and left hand options
1 female ranger
1 skald
1 skald’s apprentice

I am seriously tempted to produce 5 total of each troop type and a set of 5 female fighters as well.

OK just finished sculpting the first of the new semi…

OK just finished sculpting the first of the new semi modular Njorn Hirdmen. It is the first of 5 planned semi modulars. 3 with weapon and shield ( head and right hand option interchangeable ) 1 with right AND left hand options, and one with heavy weapon ( weapon head and character head interchangeable ). Going to be 6 head options, 2 heavy weapon options ( Hammer and Axe ), 4 right hand options ( sword, axe, spear, hammer ) and 4 left hand options ( small shield, spear, sax, ax. ). Going to also be sculpting a few new Njorn Characters and a couple of new Mages as well. Going to kickstart this bunch as soon as the sculpting is done. Hopefully by the 1st of February.

Going to approach Kickstarter with a bit more restraint. Smaller, faster, more focused.

Going to be reworking a few of the ideas the…

Going to be reworking a few of the ideas the Red Box games ranges are built on…… Specifically I think I want to pull the various ranges back in to a more cohesive ” period ” and I think I want to focus much more on the Norse / Germanic Themes. I particularly want to re-approach the ettin-kind ( Goblins and Trolls ) and Jotunn and the halflings as well.

My idea of Jotunn is that they are a much more elemental being with their shape and size changing with their age / power / season. In my mind they are reflections of the natural world itself.

My idea of Goblins is that they are the ” lesser ” of the feral kind, and the Trolls are the greater feral kind….BUT I dont really like the idea of GIGANTIC trolls. It makes them harder to believe in for me personally. I think I want to make them SLIGHTLY more human sized on average, not actually human sized but not gigantic. I am thinking more along the lines of trolls being slightly smaller than my current orcs range and that Trolls would fill the same sort of role in the world as Orcs would.

The halfling idea is something I am not yet ready to put out there but rest assured it is REALLY cool and REALLY different. I need to explore it a bit more and make sure I can pull it off properly.

I am also gathering all of my notes to be complied into an actual realized fiction and rules for the setting.

So what do you guys think?
