Ahoy there ship mates! In today’s community round-up, we’re focusing on Armada and the amazing fleets we’re seen popping up on social media. Despite the fact that Armada only started sailing round the world in November, we’re already impressed by the number of ship-shape fleets painted by the community.

In today’s blog we’re highlighting a few that caught our eye recently. Of course, these aren’t all the ships we’ve seen – so don’t worry if yours isn’t featured here, it may turn up in a future update!

We start with an orc Smasher by Alan Thomas Moore. The black sails really suit the marauding nature of the orcs!

Clearly black sails for the orcs are popular, as CM Stone also opted for a similar colour scheme for this fleet.

Taking the fleet presentation one step further, David Musgrave has created a display for an orc and Basilean skirmish.

Meanwhile, Jason Stevenson has opted for a paint scheme closer to the studio paint job for his Smasher.

Continuing the orc theme, Jonathan Faulkes has gone for a purple theme for his orcs.

Talking of purple, just look at the gorgeous sails on this Basilean Abbess by Nick Harris.

Another Abbess sails into view, courtesy of Jorge Medel. The white detailing really compliments the white sails.

Not content with just one ship, Maciej Kulesza has painted up two fleets. Once again, those white sails are just * chef’s kiss *

We’ve also seen a number of conversions, like the ones seen on these ships by Mark Marber. The Elohi has been given three masts to match the one featured in the Pious novel.

Probably one of my personal favourite ships, Michael Hurrell has done a very tidy job on this orc Bombboat.

We finish with this particularly crisp paintjob by Oskar Sjovall.

Hope you enjoyed this quick Armada-themed community round-up! We can’t wait to see more fleets, as we’ve spotted some excellent work in progress pictures on social media.

If these has inspired you to start your own fleet, the two-player set is now available to pre-order again (after previously selling out) and the dwarf fleet is coming out later this month. Check out the links below for more details.
