This set of models and personalities are part of Magrieb, the fantasy setting from Menhir Games (under develpment) and features “The Bio-Engineer”, a powerfull renegade Channeller.
Hidding in the cold north he is using his channelled energy to mutate and turn natural creatures into unnatural horrible beings; a herd of haunting horrors used as tools to an end: punish the civilization, siege cities, overthrow empires, overturn those institutions that gives false power to the unfit… in the end: to hunt & devour those unworthy of life and persistence, to The Engineer eyes.
About 300 cycles (years) ago he was an Elf Channeller of the Erythrian Kingdom, who fought fiercely against the invaders that came from Mashrieq, the other side of the world. By the time the invasion was over he was still alive, with much experiencie, but more important: he had channelled a big amount of energy that was not used thanks to his efficiency in its use, which put him above the regular powered Channellers. In that time ocurred the meeting of the Patrons with the Primordial – the creator of the world, the sun itself- in the Pilars of Creations, where the firsts finally understood how the Energy Cycle worked and what was necesary to make to avoid the series of events that led to the Mashrieq invasion happen again. However, the Channeller – who thanks to his abilities was able to “connect” to the debate- felt shocked, overwhelmed… he already had his doubts and existencial questions, but finally acknowledging from the Primordial it selft was enought for him to spontaneously start changing throught cycles, loosing his identity and forming a new one. He left Erythria and all those who knew him, he didnt care anymore about any links, relationships, lighthearted emotions, his vision of the existence massively changed and with that, what had to be done. After 50 cycles of wandering, gathering stimulus and getting inspired around Magrieb, with his appearence now like aged, not cause of time, but for the depression, stress and heavy thoughts; he directed north, to the Khibiny Range, with the goal of finally ending his interaction with the civilised world.
Running Stingers: In his way to the north he crossed through his homeland, which even after 50 cycles of restauration since the Mashrieq invasion, still had scars, impacts that deeply marked not only Erythria, but all lands in Magrieb. Before crossing the top border of the kingdom, one night he visited a small village by the Dauvaga river and abducted two elven women to use in his planned experiments once he arrived to destination. Three months took him to arrive to the cave in the mountains that became his first nest and experimenting workshop; there, he fecundated both elves and speeded up the gestation using his energy, making the women give birth in 4 months. One of them died in the labor, giving birth to a fetus-like beign, while the other woman gave birth to two creatures of the same characteristics but one of them was dead. Considering his first experiment a success, the Channeller extracted the ovaries from the dead elf to use the ovules for more experimenting, while the surviving woman breasted the newborns for 6 months until they started feeding by their own means. During that time and further, the now “Bio-Engineer” made more efficient the gestation process, being able to fecund and mature the ovules in 2 months, giving birth to the same fetus-like creatures, but with advanced stage of maturity, requiring another 2 months for the “Stingers” to be able to hunt and feed themselves. The Running Stingers -name used by those who fight them… or run from them- are fast moving creatures, able to jump two metres high or five long to catch their pray, hold it in place by sucking its head and then proceed to repeatedly stab it with the stinger to drink the dripping blood and later devour the flesh and organs.
